THE HORIZON BEHIND
SIX WEEKS - SOLO PROJECT - CONTENT/GAMEPLAY DESIGN - SPRING 2018
The Horizon Behind is a 2D arcade racing game built in Unity where the player drives a hard-to-control rocket through a series of curves. If the player falls behind, they fall into the event horizon of an expanding black hole.
This is a project I built in early 2018, and was the first time I really realized what I would like to do professionally. I really enjoyed the process of building the rocket's mechanics, as well as adding all the elements of polish I could add despite my inexperience in Unity. While rough around the edges, I'm quite attached to this project as a starting point for my steps into more advanced game design.
