SIX WEEKS - SOLO PROJECT - GAMEPLAY DESIGN - SPRING 2018

Lastball Bodgeball Fastball Dodgeball is a simple competitive game built in Unity. Two players compete to destroy each other or make goals with the ball provided. 

 

This project was the first project where I really wanted to explore making a specific set of actions really feel satisfying to do from the start. Previously, I had been building games that were more focused on much wider experiences. With Lastball Bodgeball, I instead focused down on the interactions between the two players. 

 

While I think that this project was fairly rough, I'm happy with how the ball itself ended up working out. Throwing, catching, and getting hit by the ball are all fairly satisfying and impactful experiences. That said, I thought they could be improved: that is one of the main things that led to me making my Supersonic Dodgeball prototype, found here.
